What's It Like To Be An Architectural Apprentice?

Curious about starting off your architectural degree in a different manner? More times than not we are told how important work experience is to get into any career let alone one in architecture. In this week’s discussion, I ask Emily Foster, a Level 6 Architectural Apprentice at AHMM my burning questions about what it is like to be one foot in studies whilst embracing the professional practice of architecture at the same time.

“What does it mean to be an architecture apprentice?”

“Why did you choose to pursue this alternative route into architecture?”

“Who do you think this route is best suited for?”

“Where do you think it is best to start looking for this apprenticeship scheme?”

“And lastly, how would you advise someone who is considering becoming a level 6 apprentice and to best prepare for this process?”
